Cape Town Day 3

Cape Town day 3
A bit of a slow day on our 3rd day in Cape Town, but definitely a gooden!! We started off with a short walk down the road to pick up our rental car!!!
I had heard from a few people that hiring a car is one of the best ways to travel South Africa so we decided to rent a car for a few days in Cape Town then make
our way along the garden route to Port Elizabeth. Anyway, back to today, after picking up our car we drove straight to the iconic Table Mountain!
This was my number 2 on my list of things to do whilst in South Africa (number 1 being a safari) and it sure didn’t disappoint!! My number one tip if you are
planning on visiting table mountain would be to try to book your tickets online first, I am normally one for preparedness and getting things done as soon as,
but somehow this one slipped past me resulting in a good 30-45 mins of queuing.Other than that slight hiccup Table Mountain was amazing!! the cable car up to the top
rotates so no matter where you stand you get a beautiful 360 view of the mountain and the bay and the views from the top are stunning! From one side of the
mountain you get amazing bay views and just a short(ish) walk to the other side gives you views of the suburbs of Cape Town and on both sides of you, you have views
of the mountains themselves! If you are lucky you might also catch a glimpse of the famous ‘Dassie’, cute little furry creatures you can see at the top of the
mountain, don’t ask me how they go there!! At the top there is also a cafe that serves hot foods and refreshment (even sells beer, wine and cocktails 😉 ),
a small souvenir shop and a ‘wifi lounge’ apparently dedicated to putting all of your snaps on to social media!
